Why do some emails arrive days later than they were sent?

First point I need to make is that there is nothing wrong on our end and everything is normal on our email servers.

Now we need to look at other variables that might affect your delivery of emails. Where are the emails that you want to receive coming from? North America or your part of the world? If they are coming from North America then I expect them to be quick. If they come from an email server that is not overloaded with a backlog of emails I also expect them to arrive quickly.

A reality check for you - emails sent through Hotmail or various cable companies can take days to arrive because they have a central email server that serves millions of people and they don't guarantee delivery in minutes or even hours - they only guarantee that they won't lose it and will eventually deliver it and that it could take days and often does. Your local provider may have the same problems - I don't know and I can't control all of those variables.

What I can control is how our servers work and they work great. If you have an email account with our server and send and receive your email using our email server's SMTP and POP3 connections then email is almost instantaneous because we are never overloaded. Our servers are always open and ready to receive whatever anyone else sends - whenever they send it. If it takes days then that is their fault not ours.
