Microsoft Expression Web - using FTP to publish to your website space Print

you can publish you web site from within Expression Web.

With Expression Web Open and Your computer's Web Site folder Open, do the following:

1.  Click   File >  Publish Web site

2.  The Remote Site Dialog box opens.  [see below]  Choose FTP, and type in ftp.yoursite.com .  Enter the ftp directory location:  usually public_html. If you don't specify the correct directory, you won't see your pages after you publish them.

Arrow 1:  choose the ftp option

Arrow 2:  type in ftp.your domain name.com.  No, it's not a typo in the photo above.  EW adds the ftp:// in front of ftp. your website. com.

Arrow 3:  Type in the directory you will publish the files to. 

** on our web servers this is always public_html.
