To ensure that both your desktop Outlook application and your cell phone receive all of the same messages without any mysteriously only showing up on one or the other but not necessarily both do the following.
In Outlook Express:
- Click on Tools, then Accounts
- In Internet Accounts, select your VCN email account then click the Properties button.
- Click on the Advanced tab
- Check "Leave a copy of messages on server"
- Enter the number of days to leave on server as "3" days.
- Click "Apply" then "OK"
- Click "Close" in Internet Accounts
When you hve made these changes the emails will download to both and give you 3 days to view them on both without worry about losing any. It allows 3 days to cover weekends. Don't set it to more than 3 days because you will quickly run out of disk space in your email server account due to the accumulated email volume. After 3 days it will delete them from the server to keep your disk space used under control.
